Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon, staff seated us quickly and were very attentive. The seafood options were great, we had lobster taco, fried oysters, fried whole snapper, mussels, and shrimp app. Everything tasted delicious, the lobster taco and fried oyster really stood out as top choices. Also had the bloody Mary which was decent but didn't blow me away. All in all, it was a delicious seafood meal.

We came here by recommendation from a local Pittsburgh resident. We are former residents and visiting from FL. Luke Wholey's was outstanding!!!! We eat seafood in FL but this place ranks as high if not higher to any seafood we had on the coast. The lobster bisque was phenomenal with just the right amount of creaminess and chunks of lobster meat. Our entries included the scallop pasta and snow crab legs. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the lemon, butter sauce was light and delicious. The crab legs cracked, and the meat easily removed. This is a sign of pure freshness. Our bartender was super attentive and we enjoyed meeting the owner, Luke. Job well done Luke!. This restaurant needs to be on your list to try. .

We ordered the steamed mussels bianco with garlic bread. Sara our server was wise enough to add an extra slice to or order. I later added a third it was soooo good and necessary to soak up the delicious sauce where the mussels were swimming. We shared their Steel City Lobster Roll which was amazing. Lobster and lobster bisque is combination that is hard to beat and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Lastly we had mahi mahi and shrimp street tacos that were fantastic. The mahi and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Wholey's in the Strip district will be our new seafood place since moving to Pa.

The food was spectacular!!! I highly recommend the ahi tuna entree. The lobster bisque is out of this world. It’s the best I’ve had in the city. Sarah is quite possibly the nicest, most genuine in bartender I’ve come across. She super friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I had an awesome lunch and got to chat with The Robert Wholey’ for a bit as well. I’ll be back!

It was my 1st time here. Im not a huge seafood person but the people I went with are and they've eaten here before and said it was great. So I decided to try it. There are items that aren't seafood so I found an AMAZING Cheeseburger super delicious cooked perfectly. The provolone wedges are fabulous also. Our table had the spicy tuna roll, lobster mac n cheese, hot lobster roll, stuffed salmon, fries and of course my awesome cheeseburger and fries. EVERYTHING was cooked perfectly, tasted great, huge portions, just 100% amazing. It definitely was a nice e surprise for someone like me whose such a picky eater. The place was decorated to fit the theme of the restaurant not like some places just putting random things to look different it all matched the menu and theme. The chef did a fabulous job with our food. MAYA was our server and she was the most pleasant happy smiling helpful attentive server we could've asked for, she won my vote and I'd ask for her anytime I'd come back. Regardless if you're a pittsbugher, out of town visitor, or a newly moved local YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE OUT. I rarely give out 5 starts across the board but this one earned and deserves all 5. It's located on PENN AVE between 21st and 22nd streets. It's a one way street with on street parking.

Omg wow! This place is incredible. My friend and I came and ordered d as much as we could handle. We tried the soups, lobster bisque and butternut squash, the catfish bites, oysters, swordfish, shrimp volcano and street tacos. Every single things was an delightful experience. The flavors are out of this world. Everything is perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. Our server, Kevin, was just the right amount of attentive; there right when we needed him but not hovering. I am thrilled with our experience!

Once again was trying to find the best lobster mac and cheese around. And you know, decided to try what their sushi looks like. So I got the lobster mac and cheese and I got the steel sushi roll. The sushi roll was okay. It wasn't anything amazing but yeah it was decent quality. It was good the phone. The eel was really good in it. The fish was good. The flavor components we're all right, but if you want sushi I'd recommend going to a sushi place for it. Now the lobster, mac and cheese. The lobster was nice. Warm. It was cooked perfectly. The flavor was great. It had a amazing flavor for lobster. They cooked it just expertly it was melt in your mouth. Perfect! However, the mac and cheese component of the lobster, mac and cheese was not that good. The cheese sauce was very runny. It wasn't thick or melty. It just kind of ran off of everything. The bread crumbs when it met the cheese sauce instead of being like a good like bread, crumb or a good crumble, it kind of just dissolved really quickly and made the cheese sauce very grainy. So I would recommend this shy away from the lobster mac and cheese. However, their lobster itself was top notch spot on some of the best lobster I've ever had. I was just insanely disappointed with the mac and cheese component. So next time I try and eat here I will get like probably a lobster roll because like I said the lobster was spot on delicious. And I'll probably see about getting either a chowder or a bisque or something else that would be more in their wheelhouse
